I'm not a Zombie!!

Yes, I'm NOT a zombie. And please, stop asking that question. It's not because I'm asked that question. It's because I want to introduce a new anime, Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? [in english, Is This a Zombie? (Hell, NO!!)]. Starting with the main character, Aikawa Ayumu, he is a zombie, yes, a zombie where a dead people is resurrected but in the story he is resurrected by a Necromancer, Eucliwood Hellscythe (and it's a girl). Hey wait a minute.. Aren't zombies supposed to be the living dead with rotting flesh and mindless expressions, mumbling "braaaainnnnssss...". I'm sorry but your expectation is wrong. The protagonist in this story is a normal student. You may read the warning at the beginning of every episode that read as "the protagonist of this story is a zombie, please do not try this at home". Anyway, there is another character such as Haruna, a masou-shoujo (not a typo-error, pun of mahou-shoujo) with a pink chainsaw named Mysteltainn and Seraphim, a Kyuketsu Ninja (Vampire ninja?), and they are totally tsundere (fanservice!!). This four character mentioned are living in one house (totally comply to "harem" anime spec! XD)

This is a zombie?

He is a zombie. He is also a masou-shoujo (wait, shoujo means girl. So a male is a masou-shoujo?) Yes, he is Aikawa Ayumu. Misunderstood as a crossplayer after meeting Haruna, he is normal student until one day he got killed by a serial murderer. The Necromancer now resides with him, while he attempts to track down the killer who murdered him. Living with 2 tsundere and a necromancer sure hard for Ayumu but his cool attitude made easy for him to handle the situation. Anyway, some info:
Guide to Masou-Shoujo
1. You must hold a magical weapon for masou-shoujo
2. Say the following sentences:
    "Nomobuyo, Yoshi, Hashitawa, Dokeda, Gunmicha, De, Ribura!"
3. Congratulations! Now you are a Masou Shoujo!
4. Tips: The more power you possesses, the cuter you will become.

Tsundere! I know it!

Another mysterious appearance is the Kyusetsu Ninja, Seraphim a.k.a. Sera. She rather cold towards Ayumu and always called him as "piece of shit". She also have the abilities to form a katana from leaves and learned Tsubamaegashi sword technique (well, it's not just a skill but it is her hobby and  favorite as she admitted). So, guys, please DO NOT call your friend as "piece of shit".


General Design overview
The design was normal compared to other except for the usage of CGI. I noticed that the CGI was clearer and better than other anime attempted to use CGI (except for episode 11. Hehe.. Have to watch it to know it).

The rating of this anime was pretty significant (bloody violence and/or swearing and/or nudity) and rated for 17+ according to Anime News Network but I think that it was not pretty significant because there is less or no dirty joke found. Yes, the story can be quite violence.


Music and OST

I most like the soundtrack when the masou-shoujo are fighting because it kind of exciting and totally different from other soundtrack in this series.

Conclusion
Well, sure does the zombies has take over the world of anime trend. But this anime is totally different from what you have been thinking (I think because the zombie are quite nice and handsome). Nice job guys!
